A Night of English Stand Up Comedy

London Calling Comedy Club is an evergrowing project bringing the experience of classic London comedy clubs to audiences in Eastern and Central Europe. In early 2011, Libris communications teamed up with Udruga Urbani Ured to bring London Calling stand-up comedy to Varaždin becoming the third Croatian city to join the network of venues. Since the first sell-out show in March at the Varaždin National Theatre, the same overwhelming response saw, yet again a filled theatre in May and proudly, London calling was featured at Croatia's largest and most popular street festival – Varaždin's Špancirfest in August 2011.

The Varaždin public are not the only ones to be strongly in favour of the concept as the cities of Osijek, Rijeka and Zagreb have all welcomed good authentic comedy with open arms filling theatres and clubs. The project continues to develop across Croatia and beyond. Good comedy should not be restricted by borders and so audiences, wherever they live, providing they understand English, are given an opportunity to taste the London comedy circuit, which is considered by many to be the best comedy scene in the world.

London Calling Comedy was founded by Nino Bantic, a Croatian journalist and comedian based in London. Peter and Nino, were actually born on the same day and ended up changing places, so it was almost destiny that one day they'd be working together on London Calling.
