London Calling Comedy 18.5.2011 Varaždin HNK
Libris communications and Udruga Urbani ured (Nino Bantić) once again will bring another set of international acts to Varaždin's National Theatre on May 18 at 7.30pm as part of the London Calling Comedy tour across Croatia.
London Calling is back in town! Following sell-out crowds in Zagreb, Osijek and Varaždin, in March 2011, organizers Nino Bantić and Peter Hopwood (Libris communications) are ready to bring back the London Calling Comedy project to Varaždin with another great international line-up of comedians performing at HNK on 18.5.2011 at 7.30pm.
Due to the high demand of tickets we suggest you pre-reserve your tickets (individuals and groups) to avoid disappointment. Please contact Peter Hopwood at peter@libris-komunikacije.hr to guarantee your seats before tickets go on sale. Tickets will go on sale on Monday 9 May at HNK from 10am – 40kn. As usual, we will be featuring a 4th guest act who we will announce nearer the time. Let's introduce our comedians:
Sully O'Sullivan (MC) - New Zealand
Your hilarious host from New Zealand first performed stand-up in 1998, and won a new talent award in his homeland less than a year later. Since then he has performed on New Zealand and Australian TV (comedy channel), Canada, the UAE, the USA, and various countries in Europe. Sully tours the professional London and UK comedy circuit also performing at various festivals across the UK.
Sully has the wonderful ability to get the audience involved from the start with his wicked sense of humour and clever comedy lines. A confident growing star who will keep you laughing and applauding for more.
Paul B Edwards (opening act) - England
'Rock & Roll comedian, presenter, writer, and comedy trainer Paul B. Edwards has a unique brand of songs/jokes/poems who is a great favourite in the comedy clubs and festivals in the UK. Over his career he has performed over 2000 shows at all the best comedy clubs in the UK including The Comedy Store (UK), Jongleurs Comedy Clubs (UK), USA and recently as far as Cape Town and Singapore!
Paul is no stranger to the TV screen as he has worked on many shows as a warm-up act for the BBC, ITV and Channel 5 and also Australian, American and South African TV. This flexible multi-talented performer does however have his limits and would like everyone to know that he is useless at both orienteering and home decorating.
Nick Wilty - England
You only have to look at Nick Wilty to know that he's got something to say! This easy-going Londoner has a sharp, imaginative comedic mind, with an ever-changing repertoire, which will guarantee to make audiences feel good.
Nick is known as the "Globetrotting Comedian" for a good reason. He has performed on every continent except Antarctica and has performed shows in all major festivals, including Edinburgh, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Vancouver, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Cape Town & Hong Kong. In 1996/97 he did a World Tour performing 188 shows across Europe, Asia, Australasia, North America, South America and Africa.
Clearly, as the most widely travelled comedian on the circuit, who has a lifetime of experiences and stories from across the world helping him connect to grateful audiences. Just three words to describe Nick Wilty - brilliant, brilliant and brilliant.
