Libris Presents London Calling Comedy at Spancirfest 2011

13.08.2011

Summer’s here and the time is right for laughing in the street. Yes, London Calling Comedy is proudly back in Varazdin once more with an international line-up appearing at Varazdin’s Spancirfest festival 2011.

Following the positive reaction from the Varazdin public after the two sell-out crowds at the HNK earlier this year, we knew that the London Calling comedy project would be perfectly suited to Croatia’s largest urban street festival.
Udruga urbani ured and Libris komunikacije present 3 established stand-up acts ready to spread some English humour to all those who fancy some authentic summer comedy. Let’s get to know our acts a little better:

Vince Atta  (England)
Vince is an instant crowd pleaser with his infectious enthusiasm & flexible approach, anecdotes, stories and observations giving his shows a new dimension. His ability to share a wide spectrum of material including students, Spanish horses in a kitchen, psychotic London ex-girlfriends, pointless racial pride & the advantages of an alcoholic mother demonstrates his intriguing style of comedy.
It's fair to say that everything Vince Atta touches turns to gold. His high voiced performance, stunning delivery & energetic approach impresses his audiences with infectious adrenaline.
No stranger to TV and film, Vince has worked with the BBC and is a regular on the Manchester based TV Channel M and Radio Manchester. He proudly won the reputable ‘City Life Comedian of the Year’ award in 2007 and in addition to being an established comedian throughout the UK comedy scene, Vince is an excellent compere hosting numerous events and large festivals.

Cameron Blair (New Zealand)
To describe Cameron Blair in four words would probably sound like this - Fresh, intelligent, charming and hilarious.
Kiwi, Cameron Blair began performing in London in 2002. Since then he has made a string of corporate and professional appearances in Scotland, Australia and New Zealand. In 2004 he teamed up with two other comedians in a sell-out show that won 'Best Newcomer' at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, and returned for another sell-out run at the festival in 2005.
After deciding to return to the UK in 2007 where he is now based, Cameron has become a regular compere at ‘The Funny Side’ comedy club at London’s Covent Garden and is currently running a new comedy club called ‘Swear Jar’ based in Camden town which runs once a month.

Mark Rough (England)
Based in the North West of England although originally from Sunderland, Mark has performed over 3000 shows in his nine years as a professional comedian. Over the years he has developed from the national UK comedy club circuit breaking into the mainstream market and is currently one of the hottest names on the corporate, cabaret and sporting dinner circuit.
Noted for writing 100% original material, Mark has performed all over the world including Dubai, Cyprus, Spain and the Far East. Not only does he perform in different countries but equally in all sorts of various locations from Sunderland’s Stadium of Light to London’s famous Comedy Store.
A regular on many BBC TV and Sky TV programmes he has recently released his first live DVD "Have You Ever had It Blue?" filmed in front of a live audience.
